Kisimani House is a historic villa located in Shela village on Lamu Island, Kenya. Originally constructed in the late 18th century for the Caliph of Zanzibar during Lamu’s golden age, the house showcases traditional Swahili architecture. Features include intricately carved Lamu doors leading to a sunken courtyard, a ground floor with original harem quarters, and carved Zidaka niches.
